This policy explains what personal information HandLok collects when you visit handlok.com or buy from us, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Who we are
HandLok sells grip-assist performance wear at https://handlok.com. We are based at 78 Lindbergh Ave, Livermore, CA 94551, United States. For any question about this policy or about your data, email info@handlok.com.
Information we collect
Order information. When you place an order we collect your name, billing and shipping address, email address, phone number if you provide one, and the details of what you bought.
Payment information. Card details are entered at checkout and passed directly to our payment processor. We do not store or have access to your full card number.
Contact information. If you email us or ask a sizing question, we keep your message and email address so we can answer you and follow up.
Newsletter information. If you sign up for product updates, we store the email address you give us until you unsubscribe.
Comments. If you leave a comment on a blog post, we collect what you enter in the comment form, along with your IP address and browser user agent string, to help detect spam.
Technical information. Our host and our security plugin record standard server data such as IP address, browser type, and the pages requested. This keeps the site running and helps us block abuse.
How we use it
- Process, fulfill, and ship your order
- Handle returns, exchanges, refunds, and warranty requests
- Answer your questions about fit, orders, and products
- Send product updates, if you asked for them
- Keep the site secure and working
- Meet our tax, accounting, and legal obligations
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Who we share it with
We share only what each provider needs to do its job:
- Stripe, to process payments
- Hostinger, which hosts this site and provides our email marketing tool
- Shipping carriers, to deliver your order
- Wordfence, our security service, which processes IP addresses to block malicious traffic
- CookieYes, which records your cookie consent choice
We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
Cookies
This site sets cookies that are needed to make it work, including your cart and checkout session and a cookie that remembers your consent choice. Our consent banner lets you accept or reject non-essential categories, and you can change your choice at any time from the consent link on the site.
We do not currently run advertising or analytics trackers on handlok.com. If that changes, this policy and the banner categories will be updated first.
How long we keep it
- Order records: as long as we need them for accounting, tax, and warranty purposes
- Support email: while your question is open, and for a reasonable period afterward
- Newsletter signups: until you unsubscribe
- Comments: until you ask us to remove them
- Security and server logs: for the short retention window set by our host and security plugin
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- Tell you what personal information we hold about you
- Send you a copy of it
- Correct it if it is wrong
- Delete it, where we are not required to keep it
If you are a California resident, the CCPA gives you these rights along with the right not to be treated differently for using them. To make a request, email info@handlok.com. We may need to confirm your identity before we act on it.
You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the link in any message we send.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Security
The site runs over HTTPS, and payment details go straight to our processor rather than through our own servers. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed, and material changes will be posted on this page.
